About me...
I’m a mother to three vibrant, headstrong, utterly unique humans, and we live in the beautiful market town of Castle Cary, Somerset, with our excitable Springer Spaniel, Coco.
Motherhood has shaped every part of who I am. I’ve always been drawn to gentle, responsive parenting—babywearing, extended breastfeeding, and bed-sharing have all been woven into our family’s story. Ours is a home built on kindness, laughter, and a deep respect for the “real” over the “perfect.”
Before my own motherhood journey began 17 years ago, I spent years as an agency nanny and as a class leader for little ones from birth to four. I even ran my own business as a children’s party entertainer—proof that I’ve always loved creating joy and connection for families.
For the past 15 years, my creative path has also led me into the digital world, helping entrepreneurs and luxury brands share their stories. I’m drawn to people who want to make a difference, and I believe deeply in the power of education and community to create change.
Today, I bring all of these threads together in my work as a certified Nurturing Birth doula, fully trained hypnobirthing teacher with The Calm Birth School, and qualified life coach. My passion for nutrition, gut health, holistic wellbeing, and the infant microbiome all support my belief that birth and early parenting are life-shaping—and deserve to be protected, honoured, and supported.
I also find joy in illustrating, collecting beautiful stationery and art materials, and tending my small but abundant herb garden. My kitchen is the heart of my home—full of colour, creativity, and connection.
In my work, I guide families back to the present moment—helping them breathe deeper, trust their intuition, and step into parenthood with calm confidence.

I am a doula because;
When I was nine years old I watched my mother do something remarkable. It was powerful and raw.
She gave birth.
She laboured throughout the afternoon and into the evening, and just after 10pm, my brother came into the world.
Until then I hadn’t considered what it meant to be a mother. Or a woman even. But as birth changed her, so it did me.
I can see that day in full clarity like a silent film, buzzing with gentle movement, understanding and love.
The women at his birth held my mother in her power.
They embraced her space and lifted her calmly through the natural, most magnificent event that is childbirth.
For years afterwards my dream was to be a midwife. I read books and books and books on the subject. But life hasn’t taken me down that path.
Today, I embrace the mother, without judgement, however she needs me.
We are the guardians of all the magic that happens within a woman’s body during birth; a guardian at the gateway to this world for the precious beings that arrive.
I am a doula.
“Taking care of yourself means nourishing yourself within to be able to take on the world out there.”
